    ROBERT R. PENNINGTON Sr.

    ROBERT R. PENNINGTON SR. Age 76, of Rialto, Calif., passed away May 29, 2011, in Perris, Calif. He was born January 27, 1935, to Charles Pennington and Anne Pennington in Palmdale, Calif. Robert served in the U.S. Army Korean War. Robert is survived by his wife, Renona Welmas-Pennington of Rialto, Calif.; sons, Robert Pennington Jr. of Rialto, Calif. and Rodney Pennington of Idyllwild, Calif.; daughters, Romina Pennington-Duran and Lucretia Pennington, both of Rialto, Calif.; mother, Anne Stamps of Rialto, Calif.; brothers, Albert Pennington of Bloomington, Calif. and Kenny Pennington of Rialto, Calif.; as well as 13 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by son, Anthony Welmas, son, Daryl Pennington, and daughter, Rosella Welmas Tovar. Services will be held Thursday, June 9, 2011, at 12:30 P.M., The Bridge Calvary Chapel, 32611 Date Palm Drive, Cathedral City, Calif. 92234. Interment will follow the service at Jane Augustine Patencio Cemeter in Palm Springs. In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to Agua Caliente Culture Museum, 901 E. The three words on the scroll of the Coats of Arms are "Vincit amor patriae"

"Vincit amor patriae" means "The love of my country prevails" or "Love of Country Conquers" which is the United States Army 28th Infantry Regiment's motto.   "Vincent amor patriae laudumque immensa cupido" means "The love of my country exceeds everything."

The following motto appears in English above the mountain cat of the original Baron Muncaster Crest.  "Firm, Vigilant, Active" -Virg. AEn. vi. 823 v. Muncaster b. Pennington
