Its that time again...time to submit your wonderful research to the PRA for the upcoming Spring 2014 issue.

Due date for your articles is Apr 15th in order to have the issue completed by May 1st.

Email for a consent form and I'll email the form to you.  Complete and return the form along with your article or records back to the PRA Editor.  I will be volunteering as Editor for the Spring issue as we look for a new Editor.  If anyone has an interest in this position, please let me know.

I have a theme for an article and need your help.  I would like everyone to submit all their Pennington State of KANSAS research.  I've chosen a state where I feel there is not an overwhelming presence of Pennington's so we wouldn't be too overwhelmed with records. I  think it will be a fun project for everyone.  If members like this theme, we can do it again during the Fall issue and members can pick a US state or country of their own choosing.

For more information regarding submitting articles for publication; click here ==>>

If you are an officer of the PRA, please submit your normal reports and messages as soon as you are able.

If you have any new ideas or changes that you would like to see for the Pennington Pedigrees, please share your ideas with us.  Looking forward to hearing from you.

    Thank you, Melinda Pennington

I'm Jim Scholl III. I am going to Pigeon Forged for about a week. Then We will be going to Asheville, N,C, for a few days.

Then we will be at Columbia, North Carolina for a few days of intensive genealogy research. Is there anyone who needs any follow up in these areas?

Also, what is the deadline for articles? I have found some interesting information on some of the Pennington Family inn Baltimore City and County.

I will be home around the middle of May. Please let me know your schedule I don't ant to cause conflict.

I'm sure if you get anything later to me than the April 15th date, we can work with getting it published into the issue.

I'm looking forward to any Baltimore, MD or surrounding area research that you share.

    Thanks so much, Mindy

    Hello All,

I am planning to go to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee at the end of April. We will be stopping over for a few days at Asheville, N.C. and Columbia/Scuppernog, N.C. for a few days.

Does anyone need any research done at these locations?

Also,  what is the deadline for submissions for articles?

EGADS! I didn't see the answers until after I wrote a second time. My apologies.

I will have some information on the Baltimore Pennington's and will have more within a few weeks.

I found an old book on the  Baltimore Police Department from the 17th/118th century  that have Pennington in the book. I will get this info out as soon as I am able.

MY health and guard service has kept me really under the gun but things are now back to normal.

I can't find the RSS link to use ADD A POST,so here I am.

I noticed we haven't had a Pennington Reunion in several years. With some info on how  to run it from a mentor I would love to do it. I am in Oklahoma City which is centrally located in the USA. We have a lot of activities and large hotels here. I am retired and have plenty of time to do it.  WHAT DO YOU THINK?

    Marcie Lucas Ellington.

The three words on the scroll of the Coats of Arms are "Vincit amor patriae"

"Vincit amor patriae" means "The love of my country prevails" or "Love of Country Conquers" which is the United States Army 28th Infantry Regiment's motto.   "Vincent amor patriae laudumque immensa cupido" means "The love of my country exceeds everything."

The following motto appears in English above the mountain cat of the original Baron Muncaster Crest.  "Firm, Vigilant, Active" -Virg. AEn. vi. 823 v. Muncaster b. Pennington
