Seeking descendants of sisters of Lucretia Pennington who married John Stuart/Steward @1774 in Sussex VA. She was the daughter of John Pennington, son of John Pennington and Phyllis Forte. When father John Pennington II died (Sussex County, VA: Will Book B at pg 78 (1766), she is unmarried, but in the settlement of estate she is shown as Lucretia Stewart. In John Pennington's will, which was probated in 1773, his daughters are named as Lucreasy Pennington (my ancestor, Lucretia); Lucy Newman, whose children are named as Saley, Betty, and Liley Lee; Saley Carter; and Betty Clark. Sons-in-law John Carter and William Clark are named as administrators of estate. When estate is settled heirs are listed as Lucretia Stewart, Lucy Newman, Sally Carter, and Betty Clark. Mother of Lucy, Sally, and Betty (Elizabeth) is named as Elizabeth Reece, formerly Elizabth Pennington and devisee of John Pennington, deceased. This was signed the 13 day of June 1793.

ELIHU WAS MURDERED IN 1903 AT A TRAIN STATION. (the article is in the olden days newspaper) CECIL IS MY GREAT GRAND MOTHER. SHE IS LISTED IN THE AUSTIN COUNTY TEXAS CENSUS FOR 1900, ALONG WITH 3 OTHER SIBLINGS NOT METIONED IN THE WASHINGTON COUNTY 1880 TEXAS. SHE MARRIED WILFRED GLESTON CARSON AROUND 1905. THEY LIVED IN HALL COUNTY TEXAS. THEY ARE IN THE HALL COUNTY TEXAS 1910 AND 1920 CENSUS. GLESTON COMMITED SUCIDE MAY OF 1920. CECIL MARRIED JOHN HARRIS, THEY ARE IN THE 1930 HALL COUNTY TEXAS CENSUS.
