I have a photograph of an illuminated address presented to Herbert Pennington on the occasion of his emigration from the Liverpool area of England to New Zealand in August 1908. Herbert was a member of the Sefton Cycling Club and I have a photograph of him, taken by my grandfather, that I would love to make available to any descendants.

We have Violet Ann Pennington's bc stating her parents were Henry and Mary J. Gullett Pennington from Lawrence Co., Ky. Recently we were told that her parents were Elisha and Sarah Gullett Pennington. Henry and Mary have a child Daniel H. with the same birthdate. Could Daniel and Violet be twins? Since Henry and Elisha are brothers, sons of James Washington Pennington and Mary J. and Sarah are sisters, could they have taken Violet to raise? We were also told that she was raised by Delilah Caudill Pennington Thompson instead of Elizabeth Smith Pennington Thompson. Does anyone have any pictures of Daniel H. Pennington that we could compare their likenesses? Does anyone have more information on this Elisha and Sarah Gullett Pennington, from James Washington Pennington's family?

I am looking for the family of Peley Pennington. This name obviously has variations such as Pely and Paley. Peley is found in the 1840 Clay County, KY census as follows :

I included Ephrian Angel, as this is my ggggrandfather. Also in the 1840 Clay Co census can be found James Pennington.

Also can be found Eli Couch. This is Elisha/Elijah Couch, who is married to Serena/Cerena/"Rena" Pennington. "Rena" was born abt. 1807 in VA.

Pealy and "Rena" were around my Angel family for several decades. The 1870 Lee Co KY census has "Rena", the wife of Eli Couch : http://www.usgennet.org/usa/ky/county/lee/census/1870/320a.HTM

Pealy is found in the 1870 Lee Co census with "Wesley Angel" livng with him. Wesley is the grandson of "Rena" Pennington Couch. http://www.usgennet.org/usa/ky/county/lee/census/1870/324a.HTM

There is an interesting story regarding the civil war and how Wesley came to be in the Pennington home if anyone is interested.

I am interested in finding the relationship between Pealy and Rena. I am also searching for Ephraim Angel's "first" wife. I am wondering if she may be a Pennington also. The Penningtons/Couch/Angels seemed to move together from Buck Creek in Owsley Co KY to Coal Branch in Lee Co KY. I have never been able to discover my ggggrandmother's maiden name, although her given name is occasionally listed as "Eliza" or "Polly".

Do Pealy and Rena have a sister who could fit as Ephraims wife ? Ephraim was born abt. 1798 in Buncombe Co NC and migrated to KY about 1820. I truly appreciate any help, and I hope that I have not confused the matter. AR Charles - arc111@bellsouth.net
