Looking for any information on Ozeimer PENNINGTON, b 2 May 1884, d 10 Nov 1952, Mississippi. Married Elias MOSS, 1 Jan 1873 d 23 Sep 1939. Children, Clelon, Claude, Loueller, Ona, Etoyal and Leeroy. Known brothers of Ozeimer are Fred and Benjamin. Fred was High Sherrif of Pontotoc Co., Mississppi. Thank you.

I left an inquiry yesterday 2/5/04, on Ozeimer Pennington, after doing so, I discovered family trees that listed the name as Ozema Pennington, and when I look back at a US Census I have Ozema is correct. My mother and family called Ozeimer. On all of the family trees Ozema is listed as Male and married to a Liza MOSS. Ozema was my ggrandmother and married Elias Moss. I also didn't find anything listed about them on any of the other family trees. Having her listed as a male could explain why knowone has further information, they were looking for the wrong name. I have been able to find them on a few Census. I have more information about their children, etc. and would like to share. Thank you, Donna Ross

looking for information on Henry Givvens Pennington, b. 25 June 1895 in titus county, 12 miles south of Mount Pleasant, Texas. The son of Mr. & Mrs. W. N. Pennington. Was Married to Bessie Lee Shelton on October 1, 1922. He had 3 boys Don Lee, Gene Ray, and LaRue. LaRue passed away at the age of 3 yrs. old. Don Lee lives in Las Vegas, Nevada and Gene Ray lives in Denison, Texas. Henry worked for the WPA. Henry was accidentally killed in an accident while working on a job. He was ran over by a gravel truck and covered up with dirt while in a ditch.

Looking for information on William Henry Pennington b. 1801 according to his tombstone in Coweta Co., GA. BUT in the 1850 Pike Co., GA District No. 64 0r 68 (hard to dicipher)has William Pennington as head of household in dwelling No. 169 and family No. 169 age 67 occupation farmer. If he was 47 years old in 1850 that would make his birth year as 1803.

And it lists VA as state of birth.

He was md. Mary Elizabeth Coggins in Pike Co., GA Feb. 14 1828, Mary Elizabeth was b. 1802 NC. If the his age of 47on the 1850 census is correct..at the time of their marriage His age would be 27 and hers would be 26.

William md, Mary Ann Dodds,b. 1823 widow of Reuben E. Waldrop. Wm and May were md 07 Feb 1855 in Coweta Co., GA.

Wm, Henry died 13 Aug 1873 Mary D. 19 Aug 1905 Coweta Co., GA. Pls email me @ JPennin100@aol.com if you have ahy additional information on this family. Correction to earlier query posted 02/12/2004. William death date has two diffent months quoted in separate articles. One as January and the other as August, both both as the same year as 1873. 1850 GA census has his birth state as VA but in 1860 it states NC. Which one is correct?

I noticed one of the families with the PRA has Henry b. in VA but moved and died in NC. Pls help me figure out where he belongs if you can.

Searching for information on a Carrie Pennington who was in Geneva Cty, AL between 1884 and 1891. She was married to a John W. Culbreth and they had 6 children that I am aware of. One being Clara Alice Culbreth, born 9-25-1886 in Geneva Cty, AL. Clara was my ggrandmother. I am hitting roadblocks finding out about Carrie.

I have been looking for my Pennington Group over the years, but never had any success. Oldest Ancestor: Richard Pennington, b. circa 1820-1830. His son> George Pennington (Bricklayer in Liverpool), b 1860 Ashton-in-Makerfield. Married Florence Ashcroft b. Sept 1860 (who has ancestry to late 1700s in Liverpool - daughter of a sail maker). Their children: John Henry, George, Florence, Ethel and Gertrude.

All born in and around Liverpool/Bootle. Still there today. Have lots of information from 1860 onwards, but don't seem to be able to work backwards. Any ideas??
