Here are a few locations and web sites from around the world that are connected
in some way with the Pennington surname.
This is a work in progress. As web sites and locations
are discovered, I will add them to this
page. There may only be a small amount of
information but I hope that as more visitors read
the page, they will help by sending us more
information.
If you have a new website and/or a new location to add, or if you have additional information on any of
the places listed, please contact

This is an interesting website you might want to visit. If you click on
the left on the link "arms of the town" it mentions the early founding
Penningtons and also if you look under "homesteads" (bottom left in the index)
there is an interesting bit on Pennington Hall, with a photo, and it mentions
the Penningtons who held it from about 1120 till about 1310 when it passed to
the Bradshaws who were maternally related to the Penningtons.

The site includes a map of 1876 Bucks County as well as text you can
search. For example, you can find information about one John Pennington
and Northampton in 1722 in Chapter XXI and information about Middletown in
1692 in Chapter XI. The map for 1876 Bucks Co. PA. with township
information (there is an enlarged map you can bring up as well) which shows
property owned by John Pennington. Look to the right of title of map,
near a big square for Arthur Cook, and you can see where John's corner touches
the upper right hand corner of Arthur Cook's land.
